You'll have to flip to EVF. The EVF also has the 3x and 10x magnification if you really want to nail it. Or scale focus VC 15/4.5 covers 1.25ft to infinity @ f/11. Who cares about focusing!? hahaOriginally posted by taemo

Is the X100/X100s the same? I'll bring it next time we have a meet... if Matt ever sets up another

there's 3 ways to MF with the X100s, split focus, peaking and zooming it. TBH i havent tried zone focusing with the X100s yet as I pretty much center focus with it, although I should since that's how I shoot the M6 lol.
kelly was nice enough to trade fhis OMD with my X100s or a couple of days. this thig is quick on focusing! although I miss OVF lol

I love the files that come out of the Fuji! Just like my old x100 the x100s file are a little different to work with, but I really like the look.

I just assumed Matt was dead. Seems like he should have been back by now.
Earl, did the new firmware speed up the X100s? I've got a Ricoh GR on order at TCS, $500 cheaper than the Fuji, a stop slower, but it comfortably fits in a pocket.
Erik, great Bow series. Seems like you're doing a few sessions every week!

to be honest, I haven't played much with it after updating to 1.03 lol but people on flickr has been saying that it feels faster again.Originally posted by blitz

was looking at the GR too but what's turning me off is the 28mm focal length, although it's amazing how small it is. let us know what you think of it.
have you looked into the Sigma DP Merril bodies by any chance? so tempted to buy a DP2M just for fun
After watching the TCS videos on the Sigma's, I'm not interested in any of those.
I don't mind 28mm, it's a good compromise of a focal length for day to day stuff. I realized that a mirrorless camera similar size to an M body is useless to me since I'd just take the M in that situation anyway, but something I can fit in my pocket (without looking like I've got a hard on), could be pretty useful. The "Snap" focus sealed the deal for me, mash down on the focus button and it jumps to whatever scale focus you pre-set it to.
