A bonus for those in the know, the city has been planting gooseberries alongside certain pathways in Sagehill. Gooseberry cobbler/crumble - so good.
Will fuck off, again.
*Bump*
Looks like Reno Depot is closing in Creekside. This is the second attempt by Rona to put a store in there. I wonder if they will sub-divide this space but it's just so massive. Lots of new stores and restaurants at Sage Hill Crossing as well, entire area has really developed quite a bit over the last year and now Carrington east of Evanston has new homes popping up like crazy. These folks will probably flock to Evanston Town Centre for services.
That was listed as a Canada wide string of store closures by the parent company so I wouldn’t read into it too much.

Is it still a fucking gong show every morning to get to DF... So glad I don't live there anymore. But that hardware store is definitely needed there. Saved me so much time and gas when I needed it. They'd be crazy not to open another one there with all the new houses and always needing random stuff... But I guess Walmart and CT are also kind of close but for anything they don't have, you'd have to go further like beacon Hill or Country Hills for HD.
They tried it twice. 1st as Rona, 2nd as Reno Depot. As much as I think Lowe's presence there make sense, revenue must say otherwise. This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote
It must be terrible if they shut it down over the garbage one on Edmonton trail.
It was the only store in Calgary closed out of a number of them nationwide.

Heh, I went into that Edmonton Trail location earlier this to get a #2 Philips screwdriver, something that any hardware store should have but apparently not this Rona location. So pathetic that location is.This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote

My parents live in Kincora. Such a PITA driving there. Waze tells me it’s faster for me to head west on crowchild then backwards on stoney as the fastest route to Kincora during rush hour. From experience, it’s not lying.

I take that most days to sage. Just too many lights and people who can't accelerate. Lights also aren't timed for shit on shaganappi also. If there are many left lane bandits, which is very common on crowchild, shag is not too bad. This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote
Free popcorn won't do what a screwdriver can. I've lived near this Rona location for 30+ years and it really is a pathetic shop compared to what it has been in the past. This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote

I totally agree, it's wild they didn't have literally the most common tool in the country at that store. Although, I have about five of that, so I wouldn't need to buy more in a hurry. This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote
Anyway, it's cheaper than taking them anywhere else, so that's where I go with my kids.
