Been hearing a lot in Nolan and Sage area.

Trying to get out of HV is horrible too. The right lane is closed (used to be through and right turns). Now everyone just sits there while the light is flashing left because the first guy intends to go straight.Originally posted by Skyline_Addict
no complaints about the area for me, other than the intersection of beddington blvd meets the hanson ranch entrance. it's terrible in the mornings and is becoming a big problem because of all these kids that get driven to school.
Ya they need to do something about that intersection. What exactly I don't know.
Getting rid of that useless baseball field is a start.Originally posted by Skyline_Addict

Parked spare vehicle out on the street while I washed my truck in the back alley. Didn't realized I left it unlocked. Someone rummaged through it in broad daylight and stole the owners manual pouch - neighbor found the manuals themselves on their lawn the next day.Originally posted by dezmarez
Anyone have any issues lately with their vehicles left outside?
Buddy of mine had his car rummaged through because he forgot to lock it.
I found my gas cap open on my car yesterday morning.
...
It's pretty bad in this area. Had our cars rummaged through a half dozen or more times. My wife is usually juggling the kids so she habitually forgets to lock our van. Haven't had it happen since I threw up the security camera though. We never keep valuables in the cars anyway but it's a real pain in the ass to cleanup the glove box afterwards.Originally posted by dezmarez

That is sad to see. I do read on FB that there at lot of break ins in Sage. Hopefully people can look out for each other. Tempted to put in some street cams.
Vivint has been doing well in sage lately.
Before I was the only guy on the block with a vivint sign. Now it seems like half the block has them lol
Doesn't exactly help when it takes them 23908184 months to build that new noise barrier fence along Beddington Trail just past the Hansons Ranch exit. Given that apparently they need to close off that extra lane to do the work, it just makes that intersection more of a clusterfk.Originally posted by Skyline_Addict

Oh well... typical Calgary construction efficiency I guess.
With construction right now, that intersection is a gongshow not to mention it backs the fuck out out of Beddington Trail around 4:30pm.Originally posted by jwslam

Thank god I only take that route when I want to visit family in Hidden Valley.
Pretty much. Very thankful I bought on the Shag side now. Even with that stupid no-right-turn. I'm probably less inclined to go that way thanks to bubble parents changing school zones to playground. Effectively the entire north side of the Hidden Valley Drive loop is a solid kilometre of playground zone (yes I google mapped it).Originally posted by rx7boi

For those who live in Evanston:
The stoney trail ramps to 14 Streeet NW currently only allow you to come in from the east and also exit westbound on stoney tr. Are there any plans to expand this and create a bridge/interchange that will allow people heading from the west to come in and also people exiting to travel eastbound?
I know that people can currently go to 144 ave then take centre st to do this but having this at 14 street would be much easier. Currently looking at possibly purchasing in the area.
Yes, but not as soon as you think.Originally posted by Speed_69

Oh wait....there's an even bigger green sign just before that.
Bring your bobcat.
It's not really bubble parents. Nobody asked for this, the city kinda just went and did it. It's our fault for electing this current crew lol.Originally posted by jwslam

But yea, it's messed up, there are some insanely long playground zones in Jr. High Schools where there are no playgrounds, 8pm and it's pitch black, nobody around, and you're supposed to be driving 30 for 5 or 6 blocks on a Sunday night. Nobody even bothers adhering to such stupid rules, everyone goes 60.

They also need to make playground zones to be in effect from April 1st to November 30th only. Kids should not be at the playground during cold winter months.Originally posted by rage2

Any know what's going on at the old entrance into Evanston. There has been some construction happening there and what looks to be some piling in the ground.
my guess it is a pedestrian bridge to link the pathways all the way down under the Stony Trail bridge to Hanson Ranch.Originally posted by Kjonus
