FYI. That scud is black.
Weather looks to be pretty good this Wednesday...who's going?
^^I'll be there..+27 C yes please!
Other than that one Yamaha Road Star Graham posted, is there any other non street bike, custom cruisers that show up? I have bagged my bike and am waiting for my front end to put on my 23" front wheel. Would love to bring it down there. Is it worth it bike wise? Or should I park else where and enjoy the 4 wheel display?

I can't believe I'm driving Ferraris in those vids. I'd never be caught dead in one now.
Is there going to be a beyond group showing up? Might bring out my POS Teg if I can get it put back together by then. It's in dire need of a paint job so I'm not sure if it'll meet beyond standards. LOL.
Calgary is so much like an iphone: iCalgary - There's a bylaw for that.
I should be there......
No "beyond" group mentality. This show they actually go and talk to each other and not hide behind their cars and lean against the railings of the upper parkade in little groups and talk shit about everyone else.Originally posted by frozenrice

I think your confused with the Barlow meets....Originally posted by snowcat

Koenigsegg, what started as a dream just blew your doors off.
No, I think he's spot on.
More people approached me to talk in one night at grey eagle than all the times I've been to chinook over the years combined.
Not in my opinion..most people there are the blue collar types who will talk to anyone..I mean there is groups of people from different crowds but almost everyone mingles. Not unusual in the least to see a sport biker/hd guy chatting it up or muscle car guy talking to a kid in a supraOriginally posted by DEATH2000

I totally agree. I've only gone one time and talked to a number of people from different backgrounds and everyone was very friendly.Originally posted by Hallowed_point

Grey Eagle is very similar and I look forward to going again soon.
Wish I didn't work out of town or I'd never miss any meet.
For the record, I love looking at the cars at Chinook too, just have never felt that same welcome you get at other meets, but then again I haven't really given it a chance. Only been by a handful of times and I'm an older dude in a Caddy...
Pretty ridiculous turnout last night...on good weather days, they need to rope off a bigger space!
No doubt!! I had to park in the sticks I'm glad to see that they've outgrown the roped off space though..now hopefully GE management will expand it.Originally posted by no|uno

I think once all the construction is done the space problem will clear up.
I showed up at 6:30 and had to park way towards the back. And the cars just kept pouring in after that. The construction being done will help spectator parking but they may have to think about expanding the show area. Which is a good problem to have.
And looking at the cars and numbers of cars there, really made me wonder why we can get a track right away for Calgary. I'm driving up to Edmonton tomorrow to get some runs in but it'd be so much easier to make an evening at a Calgary track rather than 12+ hours or overnight for Edmonton (not everyone is willing to do that).
Sorry...off topic!
There was a rumor Grey Eagle was asking around if people thought it would be a good idea if they built a track......hope that's an option one day.
The track in Ashcroft BC does very well that's owned by the Band out there .
I had this thought a while back.Originally posted by Offroad

Would be excellent to have a little drag strip out behind grey eagle.
I'd go all the time, even just to watch if my shit was broken.
That'd be an awesome extension of what GE already does. And they can do pretty much whatever they want with their land so it could actually happen pretty quickly (relatively speaking).
I don't think it would affect what Rocky Mountain Motorsports is trying to build, so I think we should start a campaign to get Grey Eagle to build just a nice little 1/4 Mile Strip.
I'll be there on Wednesday for sure, so I think we should start putting the bug in their ears. That's how the Casino got built, people just started telling they should build a Casino and look where they've gone with it...
I'm going to make a poster to bring Wednesday saying, "I Support the Grey Eagle Drag Strip", or something like that.
