Many of the comments are from people demanding that the teacher and photographer be fired. "It's an atrocity" they scream. Some even go further than that.
It wasn't that long ago that a child in that condition would never go to school, be a shut in, or even disposed of. Yet, (on educated assumption), such child now goes to school, has many friends, and is very happy. Note that the financial concessions for such a child has been bent over backwords.
Yet again to the parent of said child, you probably won't understand this, but your actions have now changed a child from, "I'm happy and have many school friends" to, "I'm a piece of shit and all my friends, teachers, support workers, secretly hate me".

Some parents are very overprotective of their child and make it near impossible for them to develop their own self advocacy.
