Default New shoes for my Shoe!

Finally! Got everything mounted up and bolted on today. Surprisingly, the ride didn't go to complete shit and the tires are actually quieter than my Bridgestones.

The wheels are Apex EC-7s. Fronts are 18x8.5 with 235/40/18 Yokohama Advan AD08s and the rears are 18x11 with 295/30/18 Yokos. Although the rear fitment is pretty perfect, I'm thinking when I lower it that I should have gone to an 11.5 inch rear rim with 305s, but we'll see how it looks!

And yes, I KNOW it needs to be dropped. It's coming soon.

Also a new rear diffuser in between the pipes.

Fitments is, IMO, perfect for a DD.

    The rear fender looking down.

I'm excited about how it looks! I'm a happy guy today...

Damn.looks super aggressive from the rear.

No offense , but man those kinda look like an infiniti
fx35 from the side view. I happen to like those, just
    an observation!

& THANK YOU for not stretching your tires x2. Looks much
better with all the rubber I think.

Sweet car op! How does handling compare with your previous evo? Just curious. I know its comparing apples to oranges but wondering how responsive the steering is on these. Tire fitment is perfect! Good on you for not stretching tires

It's way more of a handful, that's for sure. My Evo on the track was a point and shoot machine and never got out of shape once. The Coupe on the track is pretty wild and with the 255 RE010s I had was pretty easy to get sideways. Hopefully the 295s help that out.

On the street, the steering is almost darty... It's tiring on the highway sometimes, but at least it has cruise control.

It's my favorite car that I've ever owned so far.

I was expecting a comparison review along those lines... Lol
Evo takes all the countersteering fun out of the equation(at stock hp levels at least. Haha). I can imagine the coupe would be much funner to drive on the track.

By 'darty', do you mean she is wandering an weaving to the pattern of the road? (ie: potholes, cracks etc). My Vlll does this so i would think it has to do with how sensitive the steering is along with alignment geometry. I wish i had CC sometimes... haha

Anyways, good to hear it's your favorite so far an you are enjoying it. Always been one of my favorite bimmers.

I was looking at these for fun at lunch, I've always loved them.

When you were looking for yours, did you see any rust problems on other cars? I keep feeling I should buy one before they're hard to find in good condition, but I don't have the space for another car.

I've been looking for one of these for about eight years now, and I've never seen one with rust issues. They seem to be almost all taken care of very well.
