Shaw network currently FUBAR?

Still zero internet here I'm pretty much on a night shift, and tonight I have alot of down time so this is going to suck.

Internet slow as fuck in downtown. I thought it was something particular about my connection only. Guess not!

This is why it's always handy to have a local stash on the hdd. it might be old but it's better than trying to watch it on your phone.

Damn I've been scratching my head at this for a while! Glad to see it isn't just me.. Like others have reported very spotty, shaw speedtest is fine, difficult even navigating to speedtest.net. No luck playing anything multiplayer online right now either :/

But at least we all manage to make it onto Beyond! Our network here is working 100%. No issues for me, although I'm working so it's not like I can do anything cool anyways.

Well, its probably all southern/central Alberta thats laggy right now. Its pretty annoying actually.

I was raging at not being able to play Battlefield 3... I was pinging at close to 200 which which I can't deal with when gaming.

Speedtest wouldn't load but Shaw's Speedtest was telling me my 100mbit connection was doing just fine..

I was trying to download a 3Mb file, spent 2hrs trying to figure out what was wrong, until I finally just went on the laptop and connected to someone else's unsecured Wifi, got the file in about 10 seconds. Drove me crazy, but things seem better today.

Expect random outages again during the day today, and tonight as networks get re-routed.

Major peering routes through Canmore are down, same with Sparwood/Crankbrook. (2 major pipes between Alberta and BC)

The southern pipe through montanna runs through lethbridge, and has been at capacity for many years.

Eastern routes are pretty crappy too.

Yeah spotty network outage here on the west side too for the past 3-4 days. Have had one outage so far tonight for a few minutes. Annoying as hell as I have never had an outage with Shaw for 5 years at this location.

Didnt even notice an issue all evening, been streaming and playing dota along with teampeak since about 5PM. 25MPBS connection, no problems.

Anyone having it come to a crawl at night? I am and its only stable until about 6-7 PM then it goes FUBAR till 2 AM.

Last night I had the best torrent d/l speeds I've ever seen, then when they were done, I couldn't get onto any website at all. I reset my router, and everything was fine after that.
