    Police said that was false.

Will west downtown still be closed on monday? My office still has power on 5th ave 6th street so it seemed to have not been affected?

    Updated traffic:

-Deerfoot SB is open from Southland on down. NB Deerfoot still down to 1 lane at Calf Robe, still backed up to Douglasdale/Barlow areas.

-NB Crowchild reduced to 1 lane just before Kensington road for about 100 meters, to prevent dumbasses from trying to go down Memorial.

Also, CPS is in my good books today because there was a guy in a pickup that was riding the hard shoulder North towards Calf Robe this morning. WOOP WOOP pulled over by an unmarked unit

Just a heads up: Some VERY nasty, dark stormy clouds headed our way from the North and West. Reportedly some thundershowers and there has been sporadic reports of hail over the mountains. Just what we need, eh? :|

Yeah, downtown is pretty dark and raining right now.

Hopefully just a small drizzle though.

A flurry of tweets in the last 120 seconds confirm: Thundershowers confirmed to be hitting Calgary in the North West, hail possible.

Have there been any remotely credible reports of looting in Bowness?

I've been talking to people around there, and they've seen nothing out of the ordinary.

(ordinary meaning the usual petty crime).

Just occurred to me to check the traffic cams.

I know beyond's page is horribly out of date and a lot of the old cams aren't up anymore

But a couple views of flooded roads there

So the downtown isn't likely to be closed next week because of water but rather due to power outages? Is this correct?
