Sweet. I was thinking kind of trying that way as well, was worried about 22x east of mcloud being flooded, i guess that is not the case.Originally posted by KrisYYC
Anyway, from evergreen I'd go 22x to 52st to 17th Ave EB to Stoney then country hills to the aiport. Leave early lol.
I will go this way, seems like the safest way to go.

That's disgusting.
I drive past that substation a number of times a week. This entire summer I've been looking at it as I pass, looking at the modifications they made since 2005, looking at just how the river bends there and how the shore seems to be getting eaten away more and more every week, and thinking to myself "If we get any kind of volume like 2005 that thing is toast" For the record I have zero engineering background, I'm not sure how anybody with a set of eyeballs couldn't figure out that is a horrible spot for that facility.Originally posted by revelations
I gotta hand it to Enmax, in 2007 when I was part of their group (as a land surveyor) we were asking the engineers hard questions about the wisdom of repairing 32 Sub (Douglasdale) after the 2005 floods (they should have completely relocated the poles away from the water).
They were adamant that the new poles and their support structures etc. would hold....against another flood.
Now you have areas that will be without power, possibly for weeks.

You can technically get a ticket for each window that's illegally tinted. So as above, if you're being an ass to the officer (or if he's just an ass to begin with), he can give you two. (or three tickets if you're dumb enough to tint the windshield of your BMW... but if you own a BMW you can't be stupid right?)

Yeah, my apartment also wants me to put an X on my door if I evacuate. Fuck that shit.
Put a circle instead.

AFAIK there's no insurance for "flooding". The only coverage is in the case of sewage back up through drains. But nothing for flood water.
Not a bad commute across the city this morning 40km in an hour, tonight was 35km in 30 minutes.
Will fuck off, again.
What are the rules for 'Act of God' in home insurance? I asked my parents and they weren't sure. Just confident about fire protection.Originally posted by C_Dave45

Earlier on in this thread there was a picture where Joyce on 4th was flooded. The Safeway and obviously Wurst, and Earls would be too.Originally posted by sh0ko

At least the sun is out in Riverbend.
Any idea on how to get to COP from here?
Will Glenmore Trail open back up? Between 18th ST and Black foot? How about over the Reservoir?
