Twin Valley damn south of High River is being opened to avoid catastrophe, but everything downstream will be washed out, just slower.

Claresholm and Fort MacLeod on an immediate "get the fuck out NOW" evacuation order as the dam near High River is set to burst.

That particular image is from 2007 when we had the torrential downpour for an hour. Washed out 14st as well.

Traffic update: 14th St NW bridge is so congested and backed up that the tailback reaches 33 Ave SW. And it's not moving.

That's why I put in "confirmed" in quotes earlier... I don't believe twitter unless there is a picture attached. Although with the flood soak, I would not be surprised if their wine cellar was ruined. I used to do recycling pickup there, got to see the cellar once or twice, LOTS of expensive bottles there (and I don't drink, but still, I can appreciate what a wet dream that place was for a sommolier )
