I think Flames were one of the best teams since the Olympic brake in the NHL.. Hopefully this is a sign of great things to come.

Hate to say this, but I hope CGY loses one of its next two.
As someone who lives in Winnipeg, its looking like the Jets will lose their last 2 (vs Boston then @Calgary), and since I'd love CGY to beat WPG, we need to lose one of the next two games, otherwise we drop a draft spot to the Jets who have 2 to play and only ahead of us by 5 points. I'm all for winning out, but one loss would be nice to keep current draft place.

The Calgary Flames have hired Brad Treliving as their new general manager.

Treliving has served as the Phoenix Coyotes assistant general manager since 2007, he also handled duties as general manager of the club's American Hockey League affiliate, the Portland Pirates.

The 44-year-old Penticton, B.C. native was the President of the Central Hockey League for seven years before joining the Coyotes organization.

Flames president of hockey operations Brian Burke has been the acting general manager since firing GM Jay Feaster and assistant GM John Weisbrod on December 12, 2013.
