Default Salary raise for Alberta Health Services

    Hey all,

Just a question for those who have had experiences with unionized collective agreements when it comes to pay for AHS.

I know that for every job there's a min/max cap for the hourly, but what kind of requirements do they look at when deciding raises?

I've recently moved from a corporate environment which is vastly different in the way pay is decided. For one, I no longer get annual bonuses based on performance. I have heard that there are scheduled raises so that positive performance reviews keep you on track while negative will prevent you from getting the scheduled raises.

    Any experiences?

Where there's a union there's a collective agreement. federal government had their shit online ahs probably does too.
    Find it and read it.

I don't mean that in a jackass way btw lol I would personally want to read it myself than take someone's word for it. But I am pretty sure there are scheduled raises each year (once or twice, no personal experience just hearsay) and they are automatic so no one can fuck with u and prevent u from getting it.

It's in your union agreement. My wife just got a union job, and her annual raises were set out for three years. In her case, she'll get exactly what's the in the agreement, no more, no less, unless they fire her, which is very tough after the initial probationary period.

Every Union usually negotiates different raises for their employees

Since you read the union agreement you were agreeing to be governed by, you should already know this.
