it's almost chile season too, so depending on when she goes, you could have her bring back some fresh roasted green chiles. (if you haven't been to New Mexico or Arizona before, this probably won't mean anything to you, but I highly recommend it.)

You can get cherry soda in Canada. Pop Shoppe makes a black cherry soda, as does President's Choice.
