RECOVERED: 1981 Z28 Camaro/1979 Dodge Lil' Red Express Truck

A group of people broke into my fathers shop located by Bowden, AB. They stole his 1981 Z28 Camaro, almost mint car, a little paint damage on the passenger door, dark charcoal grey, 4-speed, 16000 ORIGINAL miles. They also stole his 1979 Dodge Lil' Red Express truck, he has owned it since new, it is in mint condition. It was bought from Derrick Dodge in Edmonton so it has Derrick dodge emblems on both fenders, there is a small paint chip on the drivers side door edge just below the handle that was touched up but it is still visible, at the time it was stolen it had a "Direct Connection" front license plate but that may have been removed. They also stole thousands of dollars worth of parts, tools and equipment. There was also damage to his 1970 SS Chevelle, damage to my grandmas 1963 Chrysler and some serious damage to his '03 Silverado as they tried to move it to get at more cars. There is a reward for information leading to the return of vehicles or conviction of those who took them.

Thanks man, definitely wasn't him. He doesn't drive it much and doesn't really come to calgary. I've heard from 3 people an express driving around the northeast saturday night. Could be it.

The plate on the Express is C-118.

Truck will stick out like a sore thumb. I mentioned it to some people to keep an eye out. Hope he gets it back mint, thats a beautiful truck.

both vehicles have a soft spot in my heart. I would totally be tempted to swipe those LOL! so I can't blame the theif(s) for their good taste.

Both vehicles will stick out and be pretty easy to spot, I will keep my eyes open.

Saw a mint lil red pulling into bass pro a couple of days ago. Wen was the break in?

They were taken last week sometime between tuesday night and friday night.

Sounds like the theives knew something about the vehicles and your Dad's storage place (ie: not a random hit). Good luck getting them back. If I see either one I will let you know.

Ya they definitely had an idea of what was in there, looks like they came with a couple trucks and maybe a trailer, they cleaned out alot of parts and tools. Thanks man.

The Express has been recovered! My dad got a tip from someone in Red Deer that it was at a Super 8, he got there and sure enough there it was, in the same condition it was stolen luckily. Hopefully prints can be pulled or the thief left some sort of identification. Still looking for the Camaro, by the sounds of it it will probably be in Red Deer or in that area.

awesome news, and hopefully the hotel has cameras that caught this guy to make it easy for the cops to ID them.
