Apart from the Wrangler which has always had solid axles, the last Jeep SUV with F/R solid axles was the '04 Grand Cherokee.

    The interior is still nice.

As for SUV's being a status symbol, I wonder what the LR says about me...
I had to look at this VW wagon and you weren't kidding, it's quite nice!

I can't believe Audi has a 0.9% finance rate on these right now.

That dark grey plastic trim really puts me off for some reason though.

Ah, to each their own, I think it's sexier (on my own '03 A6 Allroad as well)

The A4 version came last year, no air suspension though, which to me is what makes an "allroad".

edit: Or did you mean you didn't realize any of my generation has actually survived this long?

Close but no cigar. That VW is a MK6, while that VW interior is a MK7, which is the new iteration that looks more like this,

    old man, but I like...

the most important intellectual capital is yourself, keep yourself safe!

They aren't too slow with the polestar - about 325hp in a inline turbo 6...

the interior IMO is second to none, and I don't know why its not more popular...

Why are volvo's really an old man car?

I can. 10 year old platform/car. Interior is better on the cheaper VW, with same/better drivetrain.

Their only advantage are their exterior looks. Such a sharp looking car.

I guess it depends on how old you are, but I've always viewed Volvo os more of a family or middle age vehicle. definitely not old guy!

The new XC'sare weirdly shaped. It's like they saw how successful the XC90 was and then pinched it horizontally.

    Love our Volvo bus btw.

There are a few B8 All-Roads around town. They actually look quite good in person.
You have a couple of photos that are great... you must be very good at photoshop!
