Default Where to buy flat bar metal on Calgary.

Anyone know where can I get a piece of aluminum around 1/8 to 1/4 thick x 2-3" wide x 24" long? I want to custom fab a rad support bracket for my car. Nothing too fancy since it won't can't be seen anyways. I checked the usual like CT , HD, Rona but they don't have anything close to that width that I could see.

you can try Metal recycling places like,

    Federal Metals.

You can also try Calgary Metal supermarket, but they are a little bit on the expensive side.

Metal supermarkets will have it, and yes they are on the expensive side. The trick is to check the bins in the front, because they sell that by weight rather than by the inch.

Thanks for the suggestions. I assume they'll deal with retail/cash customers?

Yeah, I used to go there lots of times when I was building shit in University.

And yeah, when you enter the place, there is a shelf full of scrap metal they sell for cheap. If you find something there, it's better than if you had to ask them to cut it for you.
