boys and girls can react differently depending on where they are on the spectrum. Autistic boys are usually very active, ADHD comorbidity, run around, scream a lot, really hyper etc. Girls might just sit quietly in the corner somewhere. They really need to be looked after. While that letter is completely disgusting and almost seems fake in regards to how vile it is, it's also not responsible parenting to let your kid outside if he's screaming non stop for hours day in day out, week in week out. Autistic boys require a lot of attention and that's just a fact. I don't think it's good parenting to just toss them outside while they're screaming and pretending everyone is going to be fine with it. Again, i'm not excusing that letter because it's ridiculous and disgusting.

They refer to it now as an autism spectrum disease... encompassing from aspergers type through savants through almost vegetative... some ASD disorder are nearly silent, some are quite loud.

I would hope they split the autism diagnosis' up in the next dsm revision, as its very confusing now with the range under the one title...

My cousin is autistic and she talks plenty.

This hits home for as I said I have a cousin with autism and if I ever caught someone being as malicious and hurtful to her as whoever was to this kid, well lets just say they would be in a world of hurt.

There is a gentleman who lives around me not sure where exactly but he has a little boy with autism and I see him every day around 5:30-6:00pm sitting on the side of the road with his boy sitting on the grass just doing his thing.

Rarely makes a noise but somethings gets a bit excited and gets a bit vocal.

For the record, there are many different degrees of autism. Some times its absolutely vicious, other times, you would barely know that someone has it.

I assume in this case, the poor kid has severe autism.


Definitely appaling that someone like that has kids of her own, what lessons she'll teach her kids is the part that worries me the most...

I couldn't care less there are pieces of shit that exist, just so long as they keep their worthless opinions to themselves, and STFU, Im not worried. But the fact that she'll have kids that'll likely follow in her belligerently ignorant footsteps is of a serious worry to me.

I watched this cool video about autism, it was made by a 12 year old Autistic girl, about her kid brother (and others like him) that have autism. Its quite well done and informative...
