DOES ANYONE NEED A GO-JUICE?
wtf?!
how have my nexus 7 AND nexus 4 still not got lollipop?!
I gave up on buying a new phone after this fantastic update. I don't know what they did but the battery life is night and day. It's above 60% after an entire day of moderate usage. New UI is beautiful, smooth, and more intuitive. Lots of of minor improvements everywhere such as adaptive brightness, one touch to access settings and wifi from lock screen. Android just needs slightly better app selection.
Yup, this is BY FAR the best Android ever.
Just sideload the update man, it's really straightforward.Originally posted by Dumbass17

I picked up a refurb'd N4 from Expansys for $160 (which btw came looking brand new, in sealed OEM box etc) for my mom who was using a super old Galaxy S2, and was surprised by how well Lollipop runs on that phone! Super fast, no hold ups etc, you're right it almost makes it a "just released phone". I'm using the N5 right now, and thought performance was comparable.Originally posted by Manhattan

The whole new 2 steps to unlock your phone is really driving me nuts. And notifications, which were fine before.
Other than those two issues, very happy with lollipop, battery life is so much better it's almost unbelievable.
And the N4 is still a badass piece of hardware, dropped mine in a snowbank while playing pond hockey last night - 2 hours later found it and it's working fine.

IMO, I think most phones with N4 spec and newer will work pretty much the same until you play some graphic intensive games or apps that need to process large quantity of video or photos.Originally posted by kJUMP

Android phone has become the new PC where almost any device is fine for 90% of the population.
Aside from battery improvements, best thing since putting Android 5.0 on my nexus4 is the Smart Lock features. When I'm at home, phone doesn't lock anymore. It can also be configured to stay unlocked when connected to vehicle's bluetooth system (or smartwatch if you have one).
Smartlock + Cover Lock Screen is a pretty good combo now, more convenient than before anyway since there is no more unlock step getting in the way when at home or in car.

Does anyone have issues with the nexus 4 mic? I'm losing my mind. Whenever I've I'm using the phone feature, I have to have my phone on speaker mode or else the other person can't hear me. I've googled it extensively and it seems to be a common issue. Most people use the soundabout app to fix the issue. This solution is half assed and only work half the time for me. Which means recording video/speech to text/phone calls only work half the time. Curious if anyone else has this problem and if the Lollipop update fixed it? (I still haven't gotten the update)
anyone else still waiting for Lollipop on their Nexus 4 or 7?!
Which carrier are you with? It's been out for at least a month.
Girlfriend got the 5.0.1 update last night.

I want the damn Wifi during phone calls fixed, drives me crazy! I need an app that turns off Wifi for phone calls I think.
Installing 5.0.1 noooow.
I had the exact same issue. I think it's fixed in Today's update.Originally posted by Dumbass17
