I was told by one of my neighbors (who had bought in the first phase of Kincora) that originally, Kincora Blvd was intended to go straight into creekside shopping centre. However the grade ended up having to be too steep, so they reduced the grade, and then any such ramp into creekside was not going to align with their original plan (since the ramp had to be much longer) - so they put the entrance down where it is now off of stoney trail. It's too bad they couldn't execute the original plan (if that was in fact the original plan).

Originally, Kincora Blvd didn't actually even have a light... because of all the traffic you couldn't turn left during rush hour.

That is a damn shame. The original plan sounds pretty good.

The city could solve 80% of the issues right now if those lights were timed properly. Some days I can get downtown in 25 minutes if I catch all of the lights green. Other days it takes me that long just to get to Deerfoot if they're all red.

City is so dumb with that road, always closed for wayyyyyy longer than they say. Last year it was supposed to be closed for like 2 months in the fall, ended up being 4-5. This year was supposed to be closed april 15 - june 15, it is september and it is still closed and no one has been working there on it since may
