I too got the 5.1 overnight so we'll see what happens!

I don't have stress cracks but, I did drop it last week with the Rinke slim case on and both top corners of the case broke and the top left corner of my phone separated. I snapped it back into place and it seems fine but the shit thing is I have been complaining to Google for awhile about some issues and now, if they do send a new phone, they'll likely say the problems were caused by that.

Has anyone had boot up issues with their Nexus 5? My GF's phone froze on her and she had to restart the phone by holding down the power button. But when it restarted, it just got stuck in the boot up screen with the flying dots. I booted up to recovery and re-installed the stock ROMs, but still won't boot up. I'm starting to think that the internal memory is fried on the phone, but if it is, I wouldn't think it would let me re install the stock ROM. I'm starting to run outta ideas here.

Anyone else face this issue? She has the 32 GB version and only had it for about a year and a half.

^^ happened to me as well. My phone was stuck on the flying dot boot screen. I had to clear the cache, and reinstall the stock ROM.

Left my phone to boot for about 30-60 minutes, and it finally booted up normally.

My nexus 5 stopped charging all of a sudden. No fall, nothing. Wondering if anyone had this issue with theirs? I have tried different charging cable, source as computer and wall outlet.

Yup, me nexus has charging issues. They were really bad and now they're occasional. No idea. And they haven't responded to my complaints at all.

try using the nexus root toolkit. there's an option to "flash stock + unroot", and select current status as bootloop.

Not sure we have the same issue.

Mine would go to the dots and constantly restart. I found out my power button didnt have a good connection to the motherboard and the phone thinks the button is depressed. I resoldered joints on the power button and it fixed the issue for a while. But the issue has recently come back and I am going to try to resolder it again.

I sold my Nexus 5 after 3 days haha, I turned it on played around with it for about 15 min and didn't use it after that lol

I liked mine at first, but now it's nothing but apps randomly freezing and quitting (including the standard photo viewer) and having to restart it to get my music to work.

I'm not a huge phone nerd so I don't care about the features I'm never going to use so my main requirement in a phone is reliability and I've never had major issues with apple phones. They just work and it seems like in all Android threads it's bug after bug and issue after issue. I realize IOS has the odd bug but they are never crippling or major annoyances and they actually get fixed.
