Default Bitcoin ATMs coming to Canada

    Bitcoin ATMs Arriving in Canada

I think I know what my next business venture will revolve around now.

    Article @ Mashable

You no longer have to travel to Cyprus to use a Bitcoin ATM. A company called Bitcoiniacs plans to install the first of five Bitcoin ATMs in Vancouver, Canada, next month. The remaining four will be installed in Montréal, Toronto, Ottawa and Calgary by early December. The company purchased the machines from Robocoin for $18,500 each, according to CoinDesk. Bitcoiniacs founder Mitchell Demeter confirmed the report.

See also: Bitcoin: How the Internet Created Its Own Currency Bitcoiniacs hopes to make a commission of 3% on the machines, which will convert Bitcoins to dollars and vice versa. The company bases the trades on Bitcoin exchange VirtEx. Transactions are limited to $3,000 and under. Demeter said the company will study the implementation of the first five ATMs and then determine if it will expand: "Once we get the market data from these initial units we hope to go big!" At lease two companies, Robocoin and Lamassu, manufacture Bitcoin ATMs. The world's first Bitcoin ATM cropped up in Cyprus in March.

I see the majority of beyond is retarded as fuck. I will slightly educate you.

#1 If you looked at bitcoin trends over the past 2 years, you'll see various spikes making opportunity to make money quite easily by trading USD/bitcoin (buy low, sell high). As a matter of fact, I know a few people who have made some great investments off doing this.

How do you know when it will go up and down though? I've been watching it too, but it's definitely not easy. Also the commissions are typically 1.5-2% when going cad to btc, so you need to make at least 4% for a profit..

I was one of these people, I bought 99 Bitcoins several years ago for $220. I unloaded them at $131....each. There was a thread on CP that alerted me to the price and I put them up on the exchange and they went in under a week. Had no clue what I was doing but a few people on that board walked me through it.

Mr. More’s two-bedroom bungalow “with beautiful mountain views” is priced at the equivalent of $405,000 in bitcoins.
Guess someone can actually have enough to buy it now...

Its an alternate currency that isn't associated or tied to any world bank.

You would think that would be a negative but it is a huge positive for some. If the monetary system collapses like China in 1948 or Mexico in 1993, you will not be subject to re-valuation of 3,000,000 to 1 or 1,000 to 1 dollar (respectively, or something inbetween)

Like Zambia, where they can throw you in jail for using US dollars.
