Camping Saturday 21st Sept, where to go?

I wanted to go near Sheep River Falls
http://www.albertawow.com/hikes/Shee...er%20Falls.htm but apparently the campsites nearby http://www.albertawow.com/campground...campground.htm are closed.
I want to go someplace preferably within 200km of Calgary, the closer the better really, with a river and mountains. Mountains is more important so really anything west of Calgary with cool views would be cool.
Any suggestions?

We're going the same weekend. 'Cept I'm not telling...there's only a few sites lakeside and I don't want them snapped up.

Which loop did you get into? "B"? The first 16 sites at "B" are FCFS.

So we headed out Thursday and found the perfect spot. Sorry though..not gonna give out the location...this is our new "spot". If anyone DOES recognize it...well I guess it's your call.

Anyways, the weather was perfect! Did some hiking around the lake. Some fishing. And general sitting around by the fire drinking beer.

looks like interlakes, I've always wondered how hard it is to get a spot there. We went to Nordegg and off to Banff this weekend.

Loop D I think it was, southern most spot. Pretty cool place, terrible weather.

ahh, yup that's "D". Those are very nice campsites. Big and secluded. Very nice for a short trip without the power and water. And usually very easy to find a spot.

If you have young kids, you should check out the amphitheater shows in the summertime. The whole place gets packed. A very "family" atmosphere. Kinda cool.

We've always managed to find a spot in "B" loop though (power/water). We head out on a Sunday when going for a long trip. The place is almost deserted then.

Sounds pretty cool. Reason why I went there was that I was able to reserve a spot.
