Planning to head up there and finally see how fast my car is, anyone else planning on attending? I assume a Snell M2010 rated helmet will get me past tech?

Yes, that helmet is also what I have and I've raced at Castrol several times this summer. I might see you there...

James, I'm heading up on Friday. I usually try to leave my place around 2 and get to Airdrie around 3ish. That puts me at Leduc picking up ice between 5 and 5:30 and at the track swapping tires by 6 pm.
What time were you looking at going up?
Honestly if you do get there by 6ish I would just spectate for a couple hours. The lines = 1 run per hour until about 10pm, then it thins right out and you can start making real passes. Also the track will be rubbered in and the air will be cooler.![]()
I usually get one earlier pass to feel the car out then wait and watch for a while and then run a bunch more between 10 and 11:30. But I got warned last time out so most of my passes will be half track then brakes.
Probably roughly the same time, I have never been to Castrol before, the last time I went to the drags was at Secret Street at Race City 3 years ago when I popped the HPFP on my moms car, so I am kinda nervous.Originally posted by no|uno
