Default My trip down the PCH. 7,652 kms of M Coupe goodness

Just got back to Edmonton today... I'm not sure if I feel like writing a narrative right now haha. Had a fantastic road trip with my dad in the Coupe. We went down to tour a few warships and see the San Diego Naval Yards. Stopped at a few places along the way as well. And absolutely tore up the ENTIRE Pacific Coast Highway. It's incredible. 7,652 kms in 91 hours of driving.

Facebook friends have all the pics, but I'll put a few up here.

    Mt St Helens

    Crater Lake

    California!

    USS Iowa

    USS Midway

    San Diego Zoo.

Next summer, go drive this highway. It's perfect.

PCH is awesome, we did it a few years ago but turned inland just after San Simieon. Did you guys check out Hearst Castle? By far my favorite thing on the trip. So fucking baller.

They're certainly big, but I don't know if they are the BEST I've tasted.

No we didn't stop there... Guess we should've!

    My dad at the Corkscrew.

    Iowa's main battery.

RMS Queen Mary. We stayed there for a night. It was pretty damn cool.

    A Corsair aboard Midway

Can't believe I didn't put this up in the initial post... We got forced off the highway in Montana because of this. My 295/35 AD08s didn't like it much.

Those are some amazing pictures! The ship with the buildings in the background really puts it in perspective.

Nice! I actually did the San Fran to Seattle part of the PCH in a rented Mustang convertible last summer... was a blast!

    Cool pics, post more.

No picture does the USS Midway any justice, that thing is just beyond massive.

So cool you did it with your dad ! Looks
    Like a cool dude!
A Ferrari is a high maintenance chick, you spend money regardless of what you do with her. You can baby the C63, or slap on all seasons, and you won't be spending anything but yearly maintenance. Of course that's like dating a stripper and refusing to fuck her, which would make you gay.

I want to do this sort of trip again next year in my own car.

I did 5000KM with my dad down to Vegas and a couple other places a month or so ago, super fun!

I always make trips to California (family there) I've done the trip with a 335i,M3 and C class. Very fun trip, and I always look forward to it. The pics are amazing, I also ran into an snow storm on my last trip in April.

Mt St Helens is one of the most impressive things I've ever seen.

And I want an M Coupe.

    Bad.

I'll put up some more since people seem to be enjoying them.

    St Helens again.

Oregon really is a beautiful place

The Redwoods come right to the edge of the highway.

USS Ronald Reagon (and USS Carl Vinson) were also in port as well. Nimitz-class supercarriers.

Nala, from the San Diego Zoo. I wish I had more pics of the Red Pandas, but they're pretty lazy... just ridiculously cute.

I used to dislike the styling of that car but I'm growing to really like the look, if I was rich I'd buy one.

Next time I'm in Calgary, you'll have to see it in person. It's polarizing, but I don't think you can appreciate the shape until you've seen it in real life.

Great photos and story. My recent 3,000km trip across the US seems weak now.
