Can you recommend a shop in Calgary to restore cloudy, hazed plastic headlights?

There are at least a couple of DIY threads on here, but I think the OP was looking for a shop to contribute their own elbow grease.

(And sorry OP, I don't know who would do this for you. I've also done it myself with good results)

^ you need a very fast drill for that to work properly.

With a typical drill you will get a decent result and it will stay decent for a few weeks or months but a typical drill does not have the speed to warm the plastic to a point where it can polish all the sanding marks out.

The kits are very good though, worth a shot.

Warm the plastic? I've found in my experience if you're buffing plastic on a rotary buffer and you've got the right compound for the buffing, heating it will deform the plastic and make it cloudier pretty much making it ruined.
Same goes for buffing aluminum.

I guess I know what you're saying but I don't want someone to go over the top and press too hard and mess their lights up. It's much like power polishing... too much pressure or too long in an area can have bad results.

That being said, I've used the headlight restore stuff and it works great. First time, took a couple of applications. Now I just touch up every so often.

i have a lot of rock chips 1-2 mm deep on my headlights. who can i take it to in calgary to get them out?

The kits from cdn tire always worked well in the past but on this car the pitting is severe

Used the turtle wax kit on my legacy and sti worked like a charm did take 30-40 min per car though

I had an appointment at my home 2hrs after calling him.

He's been doing it for 10 yrs now I believe, and would highly recommend him to anyone!!!

Spent between 1-1.5hrs working on the lights, did not rush anything, he's a perfectionisht like myself and I bet he would of spent 2hrs if needed.

He charges a $80 flat rate and will go to you. Again, highly recommended. He made my shitty looking lights look brand new, maybe even better since he puts a protective coating on after.
