I'm going camping..
I don't like doing "hotel" trips on long weekends, as the rates are always jacked up and traveling the borders/major highways is a bitch.
Fernie and Waterton are good alternatives to Banff/Canmore.
San Francisco is good for a longer weekend, and YYC-SFO flights are usually some of the cheapest around. Much better city than Seattle or LA.
I just got back from Chicago and it's another good one for a longer weekend, with not too long of a flight.
If you ever wanna try something different, give Portland a shot. Awesome city with fun, unique nightlife!
^my parents bought some groupon stay in Oregon so we are going there on November long weekend.
15 hours drive
I would say about 13hrs, going 10-20 over the limit lol. If you make it to downtown Portland checkout Ground Kontrol!

Cabo....flights on Thursdays and Sundays and just over 4 hours.
Yay! Just reserved a camp spot for the last weekend of the year. Thurs to Monday. Gonna be cold, better fill up the propane tanks and get a couple of good books!
Just had a weekend in kalispel, good roads and cheap beer. About 5 hours to get there. The road to the sun is closed unfortunately but I didn't have the rs4 so it's ok.
Side note I brought back 3 12 packs and a 18 pack of beer and they didn't charge duty why?
bumping this up. Have 4-5 days in the coming week. Any good spots to checkout? Nice hot springs? shopping centers?
max 12 or so hrs of driving
