There's really not a ton of savings, I've only used them for stores that don't ship to Canada. Better off just paying for FedEx and getting all the fees (duty, gst, brokerage) done all upfront.
Depends on what you buy. I have saved a fair amount when ordering high priced items.

Anyone else itching for a border run? Got a bunch of stuff to order and would rather not get bent over by dyk. Hoping the US opens soon so I can scoot down to the mailbox at the border.

Has anyone tried it recently? Guessing you'd get turned away but also curious if they'd care if you are only in the US for 30 min anyways

Bump. So I actually need to pick up some things for my business in the near future. Apparently DYK has been shitting the bed and sometimes taking weeks (on top of expensive) so it's looking more and more like I might have to try and go down and see if I can pick things up myself.

Has anyone tried? From what I can read if I bring my corporate papers, GST/Business number info, commercial invoices, as well as the importation form with tarriffs all filled out that I should be okay to go? Along with a negative test. Wondering if anyone's tried this since the shutdowns or if I'm missing something. I don't have a commercial vehicle though, so that might bite me.

Get your shit shipped to Vegas and fly down for the weekend. Easy peasy.
Driving across the border seems hard.

Anyone trying this sometime soon (or has recently)?

Looking at shipping a set of wheels to the border since the next cheapest option is ~275usd incl taxes/duties/brokerage, and I anticipate dyk won’t be much better.

If you’re going, lmk, or if you have been can you advise on how much of a headache it was?

I want to go as soon as the border makes it easier. AFAIK right now if I went down I'd have to find a PCR test within the US and wait for the results to get back into Canada. Incredibly stupid for a 1 hour trip to pick stuff up. If they bring back the no testing for under 72 hours I'll be heading down pretty shortly after.

I would be willing to do another run, but, I wanna wait until restrictions open up some more before I go.

Do they have the postiive-last-6-months exemption?
I didn't get paperwork for my positivity

I went down in November but extended the stay over a night in Whitefish.
You can use a PCR test from here so you don't have to get one in the US.

Well I'm going to try and go down on Tuesday. Looks like you still have to get a test within the US which is especially dumb because there is no testing in sweet grass. Looks like I'll have to drive half hour to Shelby, pay 30$, then half hour back. Not the end of the world but definitely annoying.

Report back on it all. Make sure to buy fuel and drink a dozen beers before you drive home.

Can you still get a test up here before you go down and use it to get back in the country? You could do that with the PCR test, i'm not sure about the antigen test.

Down there now, no issues getting across and grabbing everything but seems the snowbirds are flocking to get home with the testing lifted. Currently sitting in a few mile line to get back into Canada. I’d wait a week or so for things to calm down if you’re planning to run across soon.

Anyone headed to Montana in the next month or so? Looking to get a standing desk frame from the US.

I might need to go to sweetgrass for my NEXUS interview. I should figure that out.
