Default New car, crappy PDI/block heater install rant

About two months ago, I picked up a brand new FR-S from a local dealer. Finance department is pretty sketchy when it comes to adding random crap without asking.

Now for the bad part, I decided to check my fluids when I brought the car home for the first time and noticed that my car is super low on coolant. The radiator was about half full. Went in and ask for some coolant to top it off myself ( didnt trust them anymore )

Fast forward a month and a half and I am putting my new exhaust on. Turns out the header was removed to put my block heater in by their "head tech" and this mofo cross threaded my bolts. The bolts just snapped when I cranked them out. Luckly, its only on the exhaust flange.

I am planning to stop by in person and have a talk with the service manager. I do have a video of my empty coolant tank and I can show them the broken bolt. Any advice for me to get the dealership to help me and own up to their mistakes? Or am I just going to punch sand?

I wont post the name of the dealership till I talk to them to make it fair for them.

Don't go in hot, explain it slowly and calmly. It goes a long way.

But really what are you going to get out of it? A stud and some coolant? You're already set on not returning so a future discount wont do much.

I'd just go in when you have free time and explain your situation and see what they offer as recourse.

Makes you wonder what other things they missed on the PDI. Wheel Nut Torque?

I'd make them do a PDI again.
Life is too short to drive boring cars.

It's a Subaru engine in the Toyota FRS. Subaru still uses wet block heaters even on the new FA20 engine.

Also take into account dealer trades. This might have not been a technician at that particular dealership, you'd never know it without talking to the manager.

$5 on south pointe. I bought a used truck from them, had similar oversights that were quickly rectified, and I'd also bet an additional $5 that it's either a transitional period or will be new management soon. I bought my truck in june for what it's worth.
