Got a key during the last wave. Can't fucking beat the hunter or warrior AIs. I'm so useless at card games.

It's fun, but also super godamn frustrating.

I managed to snag a beta key (finally) on a recent wave of invites a couple of weeks ago. I do quite enjoy it! However, I need to desperately change some strategy. I find that I'm usually able to play a very strong early/mid game, but I end up getting overwhelmed near the end, and that's where I'm usually handed my loses. Been a long time since I've played any CCG or TCG games, so I've definitely got some work to do!

I thought I had heard rumours of this game coming to mobile? Anyone have a clue about that? All I know is that if this ever becomes available on a tablet... I will never find myself bored in airports again. Haha

Yeah, I know for sure it's being made for iOS, not sure about Android but I'm sure it's on the list as well.

Ah, that's fantastic! It's a simple game with a reasonable amount of depth, I find. I do quite enjoy it and it's definitely a great way to pass the time on a tablet, when the day comes that it is released on such devices.

Oh I wouldn't be surprised if they were going for more, honestly. They severely restricted invites to closed beta, initially. Strategically, all of Blizzard's top streamers and youtube personalities seemed to have 'magically' landed keys. It sure seemed to build up the hype on it and people were drooling to get their hands on a key. Nothing like free marketing. Beta keys still seem to be selling just under $100.

The fact that there are beta keys for a free-to-play game is utterly retarded and just exposes Blizzard Activision for who they are.

I'm not sure what you're saying here. I'd rather companies have closed betas than do what PoE eventually did and "release" an incomplete game, just calling it an open beta. What's bad about what Actiblizz is doing?

I'm not sure what state you think Hearthstone is in right now, but it's DEFINITELY beta.

From the streams on twitch it definitely looks pretty polished.

Path of Exile didn't have an announced close beta. When they made it available to download (incomplete and unfinished) it was available to all to play.

Rift wasn't free-to-play at release, it went F2P after release.

Yes it did. You signed up and they had waves of invites, just like this. PoE is like 2 years old.

The game is EXTREMELY buggy and glitchy, and it was even worse before.

Before the wipe, you couldn't even play the game in full screen, that's how bad it was. Even now there's graphical glitched that basically can screw a game up, and that poses a problem when you have people paying real money to play in arena.

Closed beta exists for basically every game in the last while, f2p or otherwise.

Anyone finding any deck builds that you've really enjoyed playing/are having great success with?

I've been playing in 3 star Masters Constructed for a while now with Divine Paladin type decks, and most recently trying out the newly hyped variation "Cixah's Miniatures" deck, since the Hearthstone tournament at Blizzcon. Personally, I really like it from the aggressive style play and because there's far too many priests running around with MCs aplenty. Being able to limit your minions to a bunch of smaller cards makes it not worth the MC, and replaces larger cost cards with straight damage potential instead.

Edit: Or just haven't gotten a beta key yet? I heard of others getting a key for testing the battle.net application lately. If I come across one or know someone who has one, I'll let you know.
