Both these cars are absolute beasts. However, the Mercedes still looks like a Honda Accord. Whenever I see E63's I can't get over how boring they look.

The m5 is such a sexy looking car. Everytime I go in my garage I simply can't stop looking at it. As for speed, the m5 is plenty fast enough and drives like a dream.

I'm pretty convinced that once you have a car that goes 0-60 in under 4 seconds, it hardly matters how much. (ie. 3.5s vs. 3.7s)

In Calgary, its hard to keep these cars under the limit as it is.

Unfortunately with the M5 being rear wheel drive, I was forced to buy a Ford f150 for the winter, and that is an advantage for the Merc.

    Interesting Vid.

I know I'm aging when these are my dream cars I want to put up on my wall, and not posters of Countach's or Diablos. Such a great time to be a car guy, so much horsepower mated to so much comfort. Absolutely love it, sick cars!

If you drove both these cars, you would be hard pressed to find something to complain about

So my uncle owns a brand new M5 and I drove it a little while ago. While it's an amazing looking car and everything, I've got to say that I wasn't as impressed as I thought I would be. Perhaps I had my hopes built up too high. Even though it's meant to be a lot faster than the C63, it didn't feel like it was. It didn't push me back in my seat like the C63 does, it doesn't make that angry sound that I love and to be quite frank it just didn't put the same smile on my face that I usually have when I drive the C63.

Yes it's a gorgeous looking car, yes it is very powerful but as far as I am concerned, I would pick the E63 any day over it just because of the fun factor. I can't imagine how much more fun the E63 would be if I felt that even the C63 was more fun to drive. I have always wanted a M3 and while I wouldn't call it my dream car, it used to be a car that was always special to me. However, after getting the C63, I haven't looked back once and don't regret my decision at all.

I can't get over what they did with the front end on the Mercedes. The previous one was way better looking. Also not down with these boy racer black rims.

I don't know what mode the m5 was in when you drove it, but the turbo charged v8 in the m5 feels way faster and definitely throws you back. Also, if your uncles m5 we brand new, they detune the engine approximately 100 hp for the first 2000 kms.
C63 is a fun car to drive, sounds awesome, looks bland, but it is definitely no m5.

I'd opt for the F06M (M6 grand coupe). Now thats one hot car.

Hehe. To each their own I guess. The way you are with your M5, that's how I am with my C63. I go in the garage and stare at it for a few minutes before getting into it. lol. But I wouldn't compare the M5 to C63 either, they are two different class of cars. C63 and M3 is a valid comparison and for me M3 just doesn't cut it compared to the C63.

And my uncle is a BMW fanboy too. That's all he's ever had and growing up I used to be too. But now that I am into Benz's, some of our conversations get pretty interesting. lol.

I'd be all over an M5 if it came in a wagon and AWD.

It does, just youll have to wait a few more years before you can import one:

My E60 feels so dated compares the the F10.
