Will fuck off, again.
I love the fact that more people are starting to realize how much better winter tires really do perform compared to all seasons. Coming from BC I've always had a dedicated set of snow tires. They really just work better for this weather and especially once the temps start to drop below -5c.Originally posted by C_Dave45
Thanks to Gary at UrbanX...I'm all set!! Wifey's gonna love driving on dedicated winter tires. We've always scraped by using "all seasons", but I've come to not trust them. Last year they were horrible.
Bring it on!!
Just got my tire put on at Tire Craft. 1.5 hour wait, a few people doing the same thing. I like the Hakka R. A bit no noise but the road feel seems better than the Good Year all seasons.

Left my place in Coventry at 10am and not a flake of snow, it's snowing so hard right now! I am pleased.
This will pretty much be a non-event for those that have been around for awhile and especially for those of you that were around for the May 6, 1981 snow storm (48.4 cm in 24 hours) or the May 13/14, 1986 snow storm (30.4 cm) - that 1981 storm was quite something. I remember walking down 10th Street NW from SAIT into Sunnyside in just cloudy conditions to do some banking and less then 30 minutes later there were taller than knee deep drifts spanning 10th Street all the way up the hill to SAIT..
Will fuck off, again.
That 1986 snowstorm ruined my birthday party when I was a kid. I have pictures of drifts in my yard that were 10 feet high.

I remember the St Paddys day storm.
I had just bought a new Jeep TJ.
Tons of fun getting around that day.
Only one at work for hours as well.

And for those of us who are a little younger I always think of the snow storm on St. Patricks Day in 1998 I think it was. I remember shoveling the snow off the roof with my dad and a guy cross country skiing down 40th ave near market mall. Only person I saw all day.
Getting decently bad in airdrie.
Haha I remember that one! I was in grade 6, best snow day ever! Was outside the entire day, even jumped off the 2 story house into some big snow piles that day!
