x2..I wouldn't judge him regardless of what happened.Originally posted by zipdoa
If you do have a definitive answer as to what happened, sharing it might serve some benefit to silence the speculators and give some peace of mind to those who knew him through the forum.
I think you can read between the lines and figure out what happened.
2017 VW Jetta 1.4T (winter car)
2010 F-350 Nortruck Tool Shed
2007 BMW 5 (Wifey's)
2004 Audi A4 1.8T 6spd Stage III w/ Meth
1985 F-250 6.9L IDI w/ATS turbo
by how bad the front of the car looks to be I could see someone having a hard time getting out of the car and then out of faster moving extremely cold water, if they tried to get out of the water.
That sucks, I only dealt with him a small amount on about the uncoolest vehicle ever (RVR) but he was a super nice guy.

I had a thing for AMC Eagle AWD's as a kid for some bizarre reason, so I spent a lot of time going to the library and reading up on how AWD works in that car. I even hitchhiked to the library once cuz my parents were too lazy to drive me haha. Ya, I'm a nerd.
Ok, put it this way guys....
1) "I love you all" was his last Facebook post.
2) Cops already determined he intentionally drove the vehicle in. I thought about it, and it actually doesn't really take amazing detective work to determine this; there was a fair distance between the road and the water.
3) Yes, 99.5% chance he could have got out just fine with water only knee high. Waist high at most. Plus he was tall. It isn't like he was pinned in the car due to damage or anything.
4) He took off his clothes. While some might do this because they FEEL like they are burning up, I imagine in many instances some people just want to go as fast as possible and I imagine that is what happened in this case as well. Plus, hypothermia doesn't set in instantly.
Plus, if known details are not being revealed out of respect to him, that likely only means one thing I think. I know it is to protect him, but the unknown of everyone trying to figure out how this happened is only perpetuating the mystery... which people are trying to get around before they accept and/or grieve. While the detail makes this situation all that much more tragic, I honestly think it would be best just to come out with it, since so many have already pretty much figured it out.
RIP man. I hope you're in a better place now.
RIP. I met him once while my Lancer was in for service. Stand up guy for sure like everyone has mentioned.

This doesn't sound like something that someone would say about a suicide.Originally posted by Hyokenseisou
This is really one of those times where it's like "don't ask questions to the answer you don't want to know". With all that I've found out so far, I know I almost wish I didn't....

I talked to him every year at the autoshow - super friendly guy.
I do think it's important to know what happened, if not just to stop the speculation, but even to take it as a life lesson for yourself. Don't keep it all inside, get help, talk to others. What's catastrophic today may be almost nothing in 10 years.
For all we know Hyokenseisou has no business saying anything here and revealing it would do nothing but hurt his family.
Probably should have kept his mouth shut in the first place as he opened a can of worms and made peoples imaginations run wild.
Truth is if the family wishes to keep this to themselves it is their option and IMO we should respect that and close this thread.

My advise: If you know the whole story, share it. If you don't, don't say a word.
Again, this is like some high school girl round table.
"oh, I heard John kissed Jen!"
"I heard John kissed Melissa!"
"I heard John is gay!"
Get the whole story, or say nothing.
