This is similar to what they did when the panamera came out though, V8 S, V8 TT Turbo, then eventually the V6 Non-S came out after the fact. Would make sense if it was like a 270hp 2.0T maybe as the Q5 only has 220.

The back and profile remind me of the panamera sport turismo concept slightly

Would still be nice if they made that though, current next gen panamera prototypes are still the same profile as the current gen

The Porsche Torque Vectoring Plus (PTV Plus) system is also optional and has been specially tailored to the Macan
Looks like Audi's sport diff made it to the option list of Macan.

Someone told me Canadian price will be $53/$83 but I can't find any links supporting that yet.

Which is not far off from SQ5.

Pretty sure a 2.0T/Hybrid will be in later if you want lower starting price. You can't expect Macan to have a higher starting price than Cayenne forever.

    Car configurator is up.

    Starts @
    $54.3 for S
    $82.2 for Turbo

Typical Porsche, S with some goodies reached $74K quickly.

Pricing seems fairly reasonable, though Porsche is famous for add-on haha. Basically the "S" is almost the same price as the SQ5. You're going to pay a small Porsche premium regardless. The SQ5 starts at $57K.

Man I wish I could afford one of these as an everyday car.

I love the look of it.

Priced one out with fairly modest options at $65k before taxes, etc.

Turbo easily tops $100k with options. That's into territory that only InRich can afford

And that puts it in E63 4Matic category. I know which I would rather have (hint: starts with A, ends with G).
You have a couple of photos that are great... you must be very good at photoshop!

Jalopnik reports the 2.0T is the same from the new S3, not a boxer engine. Less excited now.

It hasn’t hit Canadian showrooms yet but the Porsche Macan – the German auto maker’s new compact SUV – has already proven wildly popular in Europe.

The vehicle is almost sold out in some European countries, Bloomberg News has reported, and the wait time in Germany is up to eight months. As a result, Porsche is pondering whether to boost annual production of its new hot ticket beyond the 50,000 being planned.
Over at Macan forums, some people are backing out of Macan order because sale people doesn't know what configuration they can get or when.

Who knows, may be that V6 can be replaced with a 4 cylinder boxer planned for Cayman/Boxster in the future.
