Default Arduino, Picaxe and Local PCB printers?

Alright just throwing a few things in a single post here. Just wondering what people prefer to use for smaller controller programs. I've been messing around with Picaxe stuff and sometimes it seems almost to simple. But then when I'm programming on my Arduino board I'm sometimes so brutally overwhelmed by the options I have for coding and the different approaches possible for simple tasks.

And then a small question on the side. Is there a local place to get PCB boards printed or any decent online places?

    Teensy 3.0 ftw

There's a metric shit ton of arduino clones now, one for just about any need and price point

Yes there's a PCB place in town... $$$$$$$$$

Batchpcb is probably preferable. I like pcbcart

But there's a list of reviewed places too

But if you want assembly too - http://placedroid.com

Wow those Teensy's are so small. That would help keep the size of projects down.. Are those just programmed in C++?

C or Arduino development environment... (see teensyduino)

    I like these for "small"

(and if you haven't met solarbotics yet - they are local and awesome!)

Yeah I use Solarbotics regularly for whatever crap I'm up to at the time.

I've actually been browsing their site this entire time.
