Highwood is open, patchy on edges but people still playing shinny. A few more floods and it'll be wonderful. This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote
Does anyone know where I can buy those backyard rink kits?

I got mine from Canadian Tire, it's not huge but good enough to set up a net and shoot around with the kids.
Drove by wildwood and glendale over the weekend. Both have a first layer of ice down. Shouldn't be long now!

is it time for a bump?
always time for a bump
Very few rinks I've seen flooded as of yet... kinda late I reckon. In my end of town, I think its just Douglasdale
Wildwood is flooded, and has been for a couple weeks. They were running the zamboni on both of the recreational rinks and the little path when we were there on Sat.
I'd be down for a game of puck with some beyonders... who'd down? Would be cool to bring a few bevys and have a fire if there is a fire pit aroundThis quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote

Fairview has had both their rinks up and running for a week or so now
CKE Rink has been up for a few weeks.. no boards though if you are looking for that.
Played at the Douglas Glen rink yesterday.
They built their own tow behind zamboni for their tractor and it worked amazing.
The ice was like glass.
Is anything running right now in Calgary or has it been too warm? Back in town tomorrow and wondering if I leave the skates behind or not
been very warm, doubt anywhere has reasonable ice.

Olympic Plaza and University District

They started flooding our community rink this week. Should be ready for this weekend which will be nice.
Olympic plaza has been busy and a fun christmas vibe there with the tree.
The University district should have good ice up to +8°c outside. I started up the co2 refrigeration rack there start of November. (if it hasn’t blown up again already)
the pond in eau claire princess island park, the city guys were working on it but said it has been too warm so no go yet. need some good minus days. This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote
it has been out of order since 2019 so i hope it gets up and running, can slowly work on my skating skills as it's easy and the pond is huge
