Go Eco-Drive. Its pretty much the Quartz but with a battery that recharges itself

I had an Eco Drive... was not impressed. The watch would occasionally lose 0.5-2 hours. Presumably from running low on power. I've had to do the "full reset" procedure to get it to run properly a few times. It doesn't help that we don't get much sun up here in Calgary, or that I work indoors for most of the day. Eventually the watch caused me to miss a pretty important appointment and I haven't used it since.

It sounds to me like you may have had a bad copy or didn't charge it right. Once it's fully charged, it can sit in the dark and keep going for at least a month or two so even just minimal exposure to light should be sufficient. Even artificial lighting is enough to keep it going. I probably wear mine just once or twice a month and it's accurate. The rest of the time it sits in my watch box.

Love the Eco Drive watches! Never have to replace the battery and excellent time keeping, great quality for the price.

Love the eco-drives, never had a problem with any of mine. I've since sold mine for other watches or whatever but I'd rock another one for sure.

We get more sun then anyone else in Canada. http://www.currentresults.com/Weathe...est-cities.php

I own a couple Eco's and love them. Also helps that they change themselves at DST. The key is to leave it on a window sill that gets the most sun in a day. Get a full charge and you're good to go. None of mine have lost time or caused me any issues.

I've left mine in a drawer for well over a month (Possibly 2) and it loses virtually no charge. I've never seen it below Lvl3 charge.

Haven't you considered going to his Web site? There's a couple posts about it. Great content, if the charge feature scares you then go to Justin and get a Hamilton

I don't think he can get a Hamilton at $300, at least anything he would be interested in.

I've got an Eco-Drive with the radio control. It's great. Never have to set the time, it's always right and I don't have to worry about batteries or winding it.

I have a Citizen Eco-Drive Skyhawk Blue Angels I wear almost daily. Best watch I have owned. 9 years now and it is only off by 2 mins. Power reserve mode kicks in after 5 minutes of complete darkness - this only operates certain hands, but it catches back up again once it sees light again. If left in storage, it should last a few years before it completely dies and requires a reset.

You can go wrong with the eco-drive.
