Are any of you guys invested in ripple? If so, what do you use?

I've been watching it but it has had a pretty substantial run.

Waiting for it to move above the 50 day MA.

    Kraken.

Thought you guys might find this interesting:

Deutsche Bank's global financial strategist Masao Muraki believes he has uncovered the main source of the cryptocurrency mania, writing, " 'Mrs. Watanabe' is a buzzword often used by U.S./European media and market participants to symbolize the typical Japanese retail investor who trades in FX [foreign exchange]. We think that [Japanese] retail investors are shifting from leveraged FX trading to leveraged cryptocurrency trading."

Mr. Murakai estimates that Japanese investors account for roughly half of all bitcoin and cryptocurrency trades after Chinese officials moved to curb speculation in the country. When the Chinese government cracked down on bitcoin speculation in China, that left Japan with a 50-per-cent share of trading afterwards.

By gross domestic product, Japan is the world's third largest national economy. This aggregate wealth means that Japanese investors have considerable investing power – easily enough to drive the price of cryptocurrencies even further into the stratosphere as more join in the frenzy.

The extent of inflows into the cryptocurrency sector, from Japan and elsewhere, is the most important determining factor in the future course of the asset prices. There are simply too many unknowns – most importantly whether or not these new vehicles actually have sustainable worth – to calculate anything resembling an intrinsic or fair value for cryptocurrencies. So inflows and sentiment, not fundamentals, are driving prices.

Cryptocurrency prices will keep going higher as long as new money comes in and this isn't, admittedly, much help for those speculating or thinking about speculating in them. The only potential guideposts will be found in technical analysis but even there, the rise of prominent currencies like Bitcoin have been so rapid that usual technical measures like Relative Strength Index and moving averages don't often apply, at least so far.

I wouldn't attempt to forecast medium term investment inflows into cryptocurrencies and wouldn't trust anyone who did. Holders of cryptocurrencies are riding a giant wave, with all the exhilaration and inevitable crashes this implies, and nobody knows how long it will last.

Yeah, I'm looking into iota and ripple for the long term gains, if any lol. I've heard that lots of people had negative experiences with Kraken. I will look into binance, thanks.

Im also on binance you can sign up under me here https://www.binance.com/?ref=11506652

I hold IOTA, VERGE, LTC, Steller lumens and Tron mostly. With some smaller holdings in eos, bat, status, ada and req. Im up about $2000 in the last two months.

I also signed up to use QuadrigaCX and then found my bank is not supported for the interac transfer and then other way of doing interac into them requires $2000 minimum transfer :/ so I guess that means waiting for coinbase. I think I will use QuadrigaCX for transfers out to USD or CAD.

XRP is a scam, however a good one -

If you look closing non of the good news is ever from other sources just from the ripple website, a quick google search as well, it is also just made in thin air like USD...

Ripple is backed by Google Ventures, I have a hard time believing it's a scam.

Loving the price surge as rubes across the globe collect their Christmas bonuses and plow it into Bitcoin.

Can correlate large price surges to the beginning and middle of the month as people collect their pay cheques and blindly pour it into Bitcoin. LOL.

I sold my Bitcoin at $20,000 last week. Was tempted to hang on, but since I bought at $240. Good enough
Unfortunately it was only .14 bitcoins.

You could always take out your initial investment and let the profits ride.... if you want to be cautious
but I am of the same mindset, not hurting for the money, so lets see where this takes us.

Let it ride, 10x upside +/- and 1x downside at risk or the initial capital.

Seen about 7-8x return on my investment and while it is a lot of cash now it's meant to be FU money or nothing.

What is the best option for funding on a site? Signed up for Quadriga last week but still waiting for verification and not looking to sink $2000 as that would be the option I'd be left with as my bank won't work with their interact option. Where can I fund via interac/e-transfer or via CC?

edit- looks like coinbase is the answer

Quadriga will only verify with a webcam selfie (no upload), and I'm too lazy to pull up the site on my phone.

How is coinbase a good option? Canadians cannot sell and cash out their BTC. And the weekly/daily limit is a joke...
