We will see how close production is to that.... I have a feeling they will ditch the rear tail light. However I think the front and side profile is a good representation.

Spoiler didn't help the rear end as much as I thought.
I hope the front end is a little different as it looks too much like an Accord.
I like it. Throw a 230hp 2L turbo and there you have it. Gti what?

You guys are determining which cars perform better by looking at photoshops of cars that don't exist yet?

2.0t has to be the engine choice for the next civic si. They can't do a 1.5t because it is a CVT trans. Now all we need to see is if they de-tune the power alot or not.....
Lol it dosent look like a cross tour at all. I'm thinking more audi TT.
I think its mostly the nose and grill. I cant unsee it and it draws my eyes from the rest of the car.

I like how so many people think this will be good just because it is a Honda. Honda has made boring crap for years and while this is promising, the looks of Honda's new stuff is still goofy and nav systems are crap. There are so many good cars in this category now and Honda is so far behind the times I am surprised there are still Honda fanboys.

The render is some website guessing what the car will look like.
That would be sex in black, damn, I'll take two!
It's the nostalgia. Just like those old movies that you dearly loved and decades later they make the sequel but the magic is no longer there. Reviews of the new Type R have been mixed. Everyone acknowledges it's fast but few love it.Originally posted by blownz

I agree I miss the old days. Honda used to be a leader in tech and now they are so far behind it is pathetic.
15-20 years ago if you asked me (or almost anyone for that matter) if Honda or Ford was the more leading edge company I would say Honda by a long shot. Now? Ford is way ahead. Hell I think they have a turbo engine available in every single car/suv/truck they build and Honda doesn't have a single one. It is sad really. But the ones that still think everything Honda is good are more sad imo.
It's Beyond. You act so surprised.Originally posted by Aleks

A couple of updates on the CTR for those who are interested:
- 340hp from it's 2.0L L4 turbocharge engine
- Set to compete against Golf R, Focus RS, and Subaru WRX STI
- CTR will be available in a coupe, sedan, and 5 door hatchback
- Available in Honda showroom starting mid May 2017
- Depending on your local dealer, a deposit (min of $500) will save you a spot for the next CTR. Some dealers will only have 3-6 per year (one of each body style)
- The 2017 CTR will not look like the Euro Spec but a tone-down styling of the current 10th gen Civic Touring
- The CTR will have a centre dual tip exhaust system and not a quad tip dual exhaust like what most pictures were shown
I have a meeting with a rep from Honda Canada tomorrow so I'll try and squeeze more information out for the CTR
