I’d love for Honda to use the Cup2-R tires for their ring run.
We’re talking 7.38 or better! That’s knocking on R35 GTR when it was revealed.
For those who haven’t drive a new type R, it is truly special. Braking is insane. The whole car is dialed the fuck in.
"The most merciful thing in the world, I think, is the inability of the human mind to correlate all its contents... some day the piecing together of dissociated knowledge will open up such terrifying vistas of reality, and of our frightful position therein, that we shall either go mad from the revelation or flee from the light into the peace and safety of a new Dark Age."

Damn I want a LE
If you want to compare like for like; swap out the 335mm tires on the back of the F40 for Honda's 245mm pedal bike tires. This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote
The CTR lap time was done on Pilot Sport Cup 2's - no idea on the F40.
The F40 is my all time favorite car. To even be in that ball park for ~$50k is amazing.
It's absolutely hilarious how fast these are. Even if different tires would make $500K++ supercars slightly faster around Suzuka, that's still pretty good company in my books for a $50K daily driver with 5 doors, not to mention FWD. Looking at the 'ring times are similarly impressive but they did take out a little little bit of weight (infotainment and rear seats). Still, it's ahead of cars like the 2019 Aston Martin Vantage and 2019 Mercedes C63S Coupe which is impressive.
+1, if anyone hasn't driven one yet, try to. It's hard to explain how easy they are to drive at 10/10ths. I had more fun with it on the track than I did an F430 - all I wanted to do at the end was buy more laps in the CTR, which is the faster car anyway by a pretty wide margin looking at lap times again.
The LE is cool but I don't think I'd want to daily drive it with everything they've removed: sound deadening, infotainment, and A/C among other things.
Yeah, I'm not trying to say the Civic is a dog or anything haha, basically just pointing out that the Sport Cup 2's are wild tires and do wonders for any car they're on.This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote

I was going to try and get one. But don't even know the price. I wouldn't want to drive or mod it cause of how special it is lol.
Do they make a version that isn't ugly as sin?
Nope, but at least you can't see the gigantic rear wing in the rear view mirror while you're driving For MY2020 they made some of the body pieces look slightly less gaudy with body-color inserts but it's still pretty similar. Almost all the aero is functional, but the looks are something else. This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote
The European wing won't bolt on either, which is too bad.

In Europe they have a sportline version with no big wing. Small flat wing instead. Smaller 19 inch wheels. And black front seats
I'm a huge fanboy of Phoenix Yellow (and yellow cars in general) but Boost Blue > PY on this car.
I still like the yellow better, IMO. The blue looks cheap for some reason, but that may change in person.
My favorite color on the car based on the ones I've seen in person is Championship White - I think it looks the cleanest with all the black/red parts and the car is already so over the top, a classier color helps bring it down a notch. The yellow is very sharp though, based on the photos anyway.
The European version in steel grey is the best looking version of them all IMO, but we can't get it.
Do you guys who own them have any regrets at all? Would you buy it again as a DD?
I'd still take the PY over the blue, for some reason that blue reminds me of a 16 year old girls first car complete with car lashes
Is that a si-R type shifter? garbage if it isThis quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote

I'd take black to hide all that ridiculousness. Seriously on the short list though.. but so are mustangs and camaros lol
Why though? I mean it's not very aesthetically pleasing, but it's a great spot for a shifter. Maybe you'd change your mind if you drove one of those SiRs.This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote
I think the blue is deadly, but I don't think I could buy a type-r in anything but CW.
