Are you still in NB? I'll have to look around when I'm out. Congrats!
Very cool. I'd love to have one in black. Honda really seems to have fwd handling figured out.
I know of 2 black ones available in calgary for msrpThis quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote

I will be on my winter wheels though
^Too rich for my blood right now but congratulations. Looks like we have the same silver Fast FC04's lol
I'm really looking forward to seeing one in person, time for me to do a few laps in New Brighton, haha. Bummer to hear about the tires though, new tires every year would be a real nasty expense. Is the bolt pattern the reason for no decent alternatives?
The problem is that bolt pattern is mainly a BMW bolt pattern and the offsets are usually in the +35 or lower range vs. the +60 that's on the civic. That being said, I have seen some people run wheels in the +35 to +40 range on these cars but im not sure if there are rubbing issues or anything. This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. You can always go custom but there arent a whole bunch of off the shelf solutions right now (im sure there will be more choices in the upcoming year).
I wouldn't worry too much about aftermarket support for anything that says "Civic" on it haha - I imagine the market will be flooded with Type-R compatible rims in no time.
a lot of BMW 328i wheels will fit. That's what im running for Winter right now.
congrats on the car!
Yup that's what I'm using, wheels for a BMW hahaThis quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote

Who did you deal with for the type R? Okotoks Honda?
I usually buy from okotoks Honda. That's where I buy all my Honda stuff from. They only got 1 type r for 2018. I bought mine at Honda west. I'll pm youThis quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote
Someone in here was complaining about how the rear fender flares were cut all weird at the rear door line, looks like Varis has that fixed with an add on piece on the rear door. Makes it look so much cleaner.
I would need to see a picture from other angles but it does look clean from the side profile.
As a civic fanboy, I've been trying hard to see the good in the latest exterior design style, but I just cant.
To me it looks over-styled and combines angular lines with curves in a very haphazard manner. The fact that an after market add on (Varis) makes it look more "OEM" is further proof of the lapses in overall judgment.

Looks good but eng Varis = $$$$ fix
Looks pretty good. You can argue Honda should have fitted the doors with that from the factory. This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote
Idc what anyone says about the looks of these things. When I see one of these driving by in a sea of white, grey, and black SUV's, I get very excited. Nothing is wrong with this car, anyone with issues about it - it's probably just them having "me problems".
So sick of white grey and black cars.
