That is a pretty good looking truck. Way less in your face then the currently available models.

Finally GM has the right people working the styling department. Looks great. Diesel sounds interesting as well. Anyone know if a redesigned Tacoma is on the board? I think the last true redesign was back in 05?

I had a 2005 Canyon. 4x4, Crew Cab, I5, Z71, fully loaded minus leather. I think I was out the door for $31k with an employee pricing event. Plus 0.9% financing vs 5.9% for Toyota. It treated me well, put 75k on in 2 years without a problem at all.Originally posted by Tomaz
For the Colorado, I want to see a starting price of about $17k, and up to $35k for the V6, crew cab, 4x4, Off-Road with some good options. Just keep it under Taco pricing and it should sell.
They need to keep it significantly under Taco pricing IMO. Unless it's 10-20% cheaper it'll be hard to compete.
I'd seriously consider one if I could get a 4x4 diesel with a crew cab for $30k.
Is the Taco due for a refresh soon?

Much better looking to the old model, should compete well with the tacoma

That's not bad pricing at all. My guess isn't far off then taking into account the employee discount you had at the time. I have two friends with the same model as you, and they found them to be the biggest POS ever made. Complaints about build quality, interior comping apart, windows not working, radio shorting out, engine leaks, tranny leaks, replacement diffs needed, no power, no gas mileage. They just hated them. I am willing to look at this new one with an open mind.Originally posted by blitz

i bet a 30 year old hilux or taco is still more reliable
looks good from the rear, not sure i dig the front, and the interior to me seems underwhelming
It looks good to me. Just may replace my 05 Taco with one. The Diesel sounds very tempting.
Myself, I would still be willing to pay close to full size price (just as I did with my Taco) I don't want a big full size truck. I still need and want a truck though, this size is perfect for me.
I'm really not a GM guy, but I like this truck Wonder how much room is in the back seats with the crew cab

I think GM has finally learned their lesson about not providing proper space in their truck crew cabs (they had the smallest rear seat room in the 2007 and newer trucks, it was CRAMPED). Considering the Blazer back in the day can seat adults just fine, I would think that they will make sure it is large enough to fit people without feeling cramped (at the end of the day, in this day and age, that is what people will bitch about compared to lacking a longer box).Originally posted by 403Gemini

Having said that, my current truck has a 6' 6" box... don't know how you could go any shorter. It's just long enough to get away with carrying 10' pieces of steel out the back!
All this diesel small truck talk, ffs, the rest of the world already had this stuff everywhere but here, when you goto SE Asia especially, basically ALL the light-mid sized trucks and SUVs are diesel or turbo diesel.
Good on Chevy for taking a step into this option for the domestic market, hopefully it'll push those Japanese companies like Yota and Nissan to offer the diesel/TD stuff they have been making for decades already.
The current gen Taco should have had the 2KD 4cyl Turbo Diesel as an option by now ffs!
Why are you craving for those four-banger diesels? Fuel is cheap, enjoy the opportunity of having a decent engine in your truck or car.

yeah, depending on pricing and promos, i could see myself in one of these, need something that can pull my tent trailer, launch a small boat, and fit the family, while being efficient enough to drive as a DD, seems like a perfect fit.
and the chevy is dead sexy too

I tow 20-30k kms per year. Averaging 10-12usmpg in a 1/2 ton truck is not cheap then!Originally posted by Raxo

Same platform, different styling... yeah GM is totally the only company to do this.
