I don't get why people even buy this vehicle. The styling to me is so


We had a customer who just came over from Hong Kong buy one in the the Capri Blue Metallic color and the color was really sharp but I just don't understand the appeal and the price-tag.

I assume its to do with status and the top of the line in the SUV's unless the G-wagons are that superior?

no... G wagon is a reliable, dependable, and ultimately one of the greatest stock offroad vehicles ever built.

Their pedigree is military as is a Land Rover defender or a Willy's GP or Jeep Wrangler

Now... a Wranger Rubicon OOTB is just as capable, but I'm not sure whether one would be nearly as dependable or reliable in a trek across the Dakar.

These are the last breed of the "proper" utility vehicle

Solid locking Front Axel, Solid locking Rear Axel, Transfer case with huge low range gear reduction
Body on Frame

but unfortunately yes, the people who buy these use them like the way one would buy Canada Goose for riding the c-train

I love my g, most reliable truck I've ever owned and I've served it some beatings. They're all hand built and are a blast to own.
