I'd recommend Andrew Keirstead. Very thorough and knows what he's doing.

Going to bump this up. My family, and a couple others that I know, all need this done.

Bump......
Looking to get a will done for the wife and I not sure what to expect for cost/process. Any input guys? There is a local place advertising "as low as $800" to complete a will. Is that reasonable? Is this something that falls into the "get what you pay for"
Help me, help my family when I die.....
My friend Rolland did all our stuff and he was great to deal with, thorough and was reasonable enough imho... I would not hesitate to give him a call. This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote

Hotzel law was the cheapest I found. Have worked with him over the years and it's always been fine
I would be interested in hearing our resident lawyer's thoughts on shopping for legal services (even basic stuff like a will) on price.
So @shakalaka , what do you think?

I guess I have seen all kinds of horror stories with improperly or those computer software generated Wills that are challenged in court and subject to litigation. The percentage of legal challenges to Wills that are properly drafted by proper lawyers/firms is significantly lower. So I would say you get what you pay for. My firm charges competitive to the market though maybe 5%-10% higher than average but we take great measure to ensure what we do is as bullet proof as possible.
Well, probably the kind of person who has their shit together enough to use a real lawyer is also the kind of person who has their shit together enough to have a good plan. That kind of person could probably use a cheap template and do fine.
Best advice for anyone planning estate stuff is to have the simplest estate possible. Fewer accounts, fewer liabilities, less property. Start disbursing your assets long before death.
