Anyone know what was going on in Beddington this morning?

5 cop cars flew by into Beddington on Beddington trail this morning and another 5 flew off deerfoot onto beddington going to the same area. A friend on facebook had a picture showing that one area of Beddington was closed off, but I couldn't find what was going on.

I saw 3 of them pass me this morning when I was on Southbound Deerfoot but haven't heard anything about what it was about.

We are currently conducting an injury accident investigation. Traffic flow will likely be impacted for some time.

last update we have from investigators is that the male was in critical but stable condition.

Rumour is that the male they're talking about is a child.

I think that is a different occurance as I think that was in Hidden Valley.

Unless the report stated Beddington, you take Beddington Blvd to get to Hidden Valley so it could be one of the same.

CPS will not discuss the situation at all. It would be nice to know at least in general terms why they are onsite. Eg. robbery or hostage in an area.

Obviously if its a matter of utmost secrecy (organized crime file) then somethings are good to not share, but even in that case something like "area containment" would be sufficient.

They were going up the first turn off Deerfoot, so that isn't the same. Sorry should have been more clear. The picture my friend posted looked to be on that same road, but not totally sure if it was or not. It was the Beddington area. I think that accident in Hidden Valley was last night, not this morning as well.
