Or you can google hydroponic Calgary sure to find more stores that sell various growing equipment
There's also quickgrow garden centre, it's on edmonton trail a few blocks south of 16th.
I have a couple of these to start seeds with:

They sell them at Garden Retreat near Chinook Centre.

I would love to get some of that stuff too. I want to grow some tomatoes too. Fresh right off the vine tastes so much better on a BLT.
Boosted life tip #329
Girlfriends cost money
Turbos cost money
Both make whining noises
Make the smart choice.

haha I knew someone would bring that up. naw, the wife loves wheat and barley grass and at $17 to $20 a tray a indoor light is well worth it - seeds are only like $3.
Something like this would be sweet... http://www.veseys.com/ca/en/store/li...ns/deluxe3tier
A little expensive though
I'll have to check out that Garden Retreat.
or maybe just this.... http://www.veseys.com/ca/en/store/li...ns/deluxe3tier
I'd rather just go buy it though instead of ordering it online!
If your only growing grass then a high wattage compact fluorescent or two should be more then enough
They have those at Garden Retreat too.Originally posted by nonofyobiz

You'll pay ridiculous markup at the grow shops... Better to deal with some of the electrical wholesalers or ebay...
Some of the new red led lights are pretty sweet.
Tried looking for some fish tank lights perhaps?
I'm sure the ones that are created for corals will
Provide appropriate spectrum.
Just wondering where you're buying your wheat and barley seeds from and how much you're paying for what amount.Originally posted by nonofyobiz

Also, what kind of wheat is it - winter, red spring, white spring, durum?
Will fuck off, again.

I think the corals are too high on the light spectrum. There are aquarium lights that are made for growing live fresh water plants though. you can find them at the pet stores.Originally posted by killramos

Yeah the plant ones are in the 4500k-6500k range usually, where the corals are 10000k+. Depending on the size of the setup you can just do a couple CFL bulbs that are 'daylight' or 6500k bulbs hanging in fixtures overtop.Originally posted by stevieo
