In real life, Tom Cruise is a whack job. But he sure does do a sci-fi action film well.

Looks cool, and Emily Blunt is great.

Meh his last sci-fi movie was not that great and this doesn't look all that interesting.

disagree. last one I really enjoyed and this one looks quite good for a scifi flick. It's nice to see more scifi being made. WE ALWAYS NEED MOAR!!!

Most of Tom Cruise's sci-fi movies are good! Last one, Oblivion, I thought was a great movie. Can't wait for this one!

As I've said before, it was not "mind blowing" or shattering, but just a solid, 1.5 hour standard sci-fi movie. NOTHING wrong with that. I enjoyed it for what it was.

Tom is a nut. But I almost always enjoy his movies. His last few movies have been really good: Jack Reacher, Oblivion, Mission Impossible...etc. This looks good.

Caught the screening last night and it was really good. Definitely one of my favourites so far this year.

x2, one of the better movies this year. Better than xmen IMO, I'd put it up there with Lego movie for best of 2014 so far.

I thought Oblivion was OK but this movie is on another level.

I really enjoyed this movie. It had some flaws, but overall was really enjoyable. For a mainstream sci-fi I was pleasantly surprised.

I thought it was a good movie overall. Like ground hogs day with mechs and fighting .

The biggest flaw i could think of:
    Spoiler:
The only way tom cruise knew he lost the power was because emily blunt told him, but she should not have known about it in the first place. She should have been dead. How did she know she lost her power? She would have tried to reset the day again and killed herself permanently after the blood transfusion. How could she possibly know that getting a blood transfusion would take away her powers?

Most other "flaws" could sorta be explained by repeating the day over and over again and learning by trial and error except for that one.

read the synopsis, sounds like an appetizer mix of Starship Troopers and Groundhog day with Source Code as the main course. All 3 of which are probably better than this. I'll watch it when its free on TV and I need to kill 90 minutes.

Didn't she say she could "feel it" and that there were no visions anymore.

I'd like someone to explain to me the ending how he started the day at the very very beginning, but the alien thing was already dead
