Best way to convert DVD for Youtube upload?

I have some old footage that I finally had converted from VHS to DVD. I now want to convert this DVD into files that I can upload to Youtube. The footage is about 2 hours long, so I'll need to split the file into 10 minute segments. Can anyone tell me the best, easiest way to do this? When I google it, most of the results seem to be advertisements.

You can also record the screen.

I would use Handbrake to convert the dvd into a mp4 format, then any video editors to split the video in multiple pieces.
