    Default Land Syndication Investment

So 4 years ago, I made the rookie mistake of buying into a land syndication project with http://www.libertyland.ca/ - I was told that I would make a gain of 20% in a matter of a year or two and that I would never lose money on it. I was young and did not know it was too good to be true.

Long story short, it's been 4 years, I have gotten no updates since 2013. The website hasn't been updated. Emailing the contact yielded no responses. So what now? Is the money that I invested essentially gone? Anyone have experiences with this?

Call the phone number on the website. It says they have 2 new phone numbers you can call. Then ask them for an update?

Most likely you won't see your money for a long long long time.

Email them from a new account and pretend you're interested in investing, then once you get a human on the phone, ask them about your investment.

Looks legit, I don't see how this could go badly.

You realize you are talking to the guy who made his own furniture out of salad bowls right?

    LunarLand.com

I can't help but think they based their website as a rebuttal to this one.

Anyway long story short, guess who just bought a few acres on the moon!!! I was a little concerned, site-unseen and all, but the sales rep seemed honest enough!

But, seriously, these guys are professionals, and I think they made their way to various mortgage trade shows as well, claiming that syndicated mortgage is the future of the industry. If you haven't yet, talk with a lawyer, and find out what routes you have to get your money back.

    Good luck!
