Default Single cam Civics are slow

So, couple years ago I had this red EG. Pictured here with slicks on.

Had a built single cam and a LARGE ebay turbo.

I wanted 300whp and 11s, but unfortunately due to ebay turbo shittyness only made 275whp at 20psi and ran 12s.

SO. I BOUGHT ANOTHER ONE. AND MY GOAL IS 300WHP. Budget including cost of car is under $4000. Should be very quick using a lot of used parts. Fastest cheapest shitbox ever.

Little black hatch, you don't know what I gooot~

Got a pair of 225/50R15s for the front for 50 bucks. With stickers on em!

BIG FUCKING intercooler, was 50 bucks.

Eagle rods, $210, ARP head studs, $100

    Competition 6 puck clutch, $225

    SIR cluster, 40 bucks

Set of wiseco pistons for $120

Garrett T3/T4 57 trim for $250. Should be good for 350whp on pump gas. Or at least 300whp on toma's heartbreaker.

    Baller $700 manifold I got for $280

Pic of it with the 15s on it

Got a FREE D16A6 from a buddy, stripped it down since all I was keeping was the block and crank.

Here's a pic of some stuff once I got it back from the machine shop with fresh bores.

Some douche sold me this wideband for 100 bucks.

Weighing bottom end bits with my drug dealer scale. Eagles and wisecos.

All bolted into the block with a crank.

Bearing cap must be notched to clear rod bolts and block must be notched at bottom of bores to clear eagle rods

Water pump, oil pump, etc. etc. installed

Ready for me to toss it into the car, slap a head on it and boost it.

I enjoy the standard honda rust weight reduction.

If you take anything I have to say seriously, you're gunna have a bad time.

Yeah I've got patch panels I'm gonna weld in. Some time.

I'll probably leave it rusty and fast for a little while before I fix it.

LOL single cam hondas aren't slow. My buddy in Vancouver who is a member on d-series had/has a 10 second civic that was setting records at mission raceway.

Spend the money and do it right and she'll be quick.

    Yes I know Dan.

I've been on DSO since 08. I did all my trial and error on the red car, this black car will be very quick for very cheap.

Awesome build, excited to see what this will do on the dyno.
How long have you been acquiring pieces for this build?

Heh so you know of him. Darin and Dan are 2 guys I know personally in Vancouver who do some crazy stuff with their cars. Dan is very scary with what he does in a garage and all self taught.

He is definitely someone to look up to and ask for help or ideas.

Since about July. I've been whoring up forums and snapping up all the good deals in classifieds.

Traded it for a 240sx, traded that for a Skyline, sold the skyline, bought the Aristo.

Make sure you double check the eagle rods dont contact the bottoms of the bores.
I've seen a few grow at rpm and take out rod bearings.

I always hog out that bit of the bores with a die grinder when I build D series. If you don't, it won't turn over period. Same with the bearing cap.

My $5 china hole saw came in yesterday so I made inserts to weld into my mounts. Still have one mount to do, it's attached to the car at the moment.

Hole saw is really sharp still! I wasn't expecting it to last.

Also drilled a hole in my oil pan and welded in a bung for my oil drain.

Gonna paint this stuff tomorrow, have some silver left over from painting the rims for the teg.
