Default Advice on buying a new men's necklace

    Hey guys,

I'm in the hunt for a new men's necklace and thought I would see if people on here had any suggestions. I'll start off by saying that I do prefer darker necklaces(does anyone else find it weird saying necklace?) but I'm not opposed to something lighter.

For the last 3 years I was wearing this necklace from Tiffany and absolutely loved it (It was also an anniversary gift) but somehow it managed to fall off at TomorrowWorld Music Festival this summer and is now "retired" from Tiffany and thus can't buy it in stores anymore. This one had a black rubber rope with a sterling silver/Black pendent.

Now I'm trying to find a replacement and if I find something I like then I'd like to pass the idea along to the wifey as a birthday present idea.

I'm white btw so no asian stone stuff and please no crosses(I'm not Justin Bieber)

    Thanks

    Jason

I've got a square silver chain. Thin silver looks girly but this is a heavy actual "square" shaped chain as opposed to round of flat, it's deadly.

    But I like silver.

Yeah I had the thick silver chains back 10-12 years ago in high school, not really my thing anymore, I wear a lot of dress shirts when I'm going out so I like something a little less flashy but still really nice(hence why I liked the black look)

I alternate between a simple gold box chain and a gold flat chain. Both are thick enough to look masculine but not enough to look like Mr. T.

I have a very nice medium thick white gold curb chain my wife bought me as a gift. But you know, I see less and less people my age or younger wearing them. I kinda thought it was more of an "older guy" kind of style.

Perhaps it is, I dunno - but I still like it. Much more sophisticated than non-metal necklaces, in my opinion. Mind you, I'm almost 40 and certainly wore my share of alternative material necklaces in the past. I guess I *AM* that "older guy" now.

I do like this one but wish it chain wasn't the old bath tub plug chain haha BUT $565 seems crazy expensive for what you get but that's Gucci for ya.

Oh and before you start assuming, a personally don't care if it's name brand or not, I just want something nice.

    Great suggestions.

While you're at it, don't forget to pick up one of these, it'll go well with your necklace.

And while you're at it, you might as well complete the wardrobe with one of these.

I don't wear any jewelry outside of a watch. Oh, and soon to be a wedding brand I guess.

Any other suggestions? I'm really struggling to find something I like and just debating trying to find another one of the Tiffany ones on Ebay or something.

I've never purchased any of his items as I don't wear necklaces but I've really liked some of his designs over the years.

The only male who looks good with a necklace is Mr. T, or a soldier who's serving.

The rest are all, either effeminate, gaudy or chintsy.

    Looks tacky.

Whatever happened to wearing something with some form of style or design instead of just being a walking billboard for the brand name?

Look up King Baby studios. They have some ridiculous shit, but they also have the odd thing I might actually wear. Huge variety.
